The year is almost over and a year goes by very quickly. The Omotesando area of Tokyo has been affected by the world situation in many ways in recent years, but this winter, I feel that the vitality of the town is gradually returning to what it was three years ago.

With many foreign tourists coming and going, MUSHROOM TOKYO, Japan’s first restaurant specialising in mushroom cuisine, is preparing a course meal (served at dinner time) in December with colours unique to this season. We will be the first to introduce it to you.

Along with the Vegan Course, which has become a popular vegan dinner course in Omotesando and does not contain any animal products, the restaurant will once again introduce a Special Course that makes the most of seasonal vegetables and spices, incorporating seasonal ingredients to make your meal full of flavour and aroma.

Our December dinner begins with this colorful dish.
Mushrooms marinated in oil with homemade vegan ricotta cheese and persimmons will be served together.
This dish is a delight to enjoy the sweetness of the persimmon, the acidity of the ricotta cheese, and the umami of the mushrooms marinated in oil.

This time, we have created a dukkah with a cinnamon taste that evokes winter. This is our flagship menu item, where you can enjoy the flavor of mushrooms with a hint of cinnamon and cacao nibs.

The subtle sweetness of the butternut enhances the umami of the mushrooms, resulting in a potage with a rich flavour.

Falafel is a combination of mushrooms and chickpeas with aromatic spices.
Enjoy our unique falafel that you won’t find anywhere else.

Umami bomb duxelles are combined with soymilk to make a sauce.
Combined with the umami of the Iberian pork, it is a very powerful dish.

This ragout pasta is simply made with mushrooms. This is the first pasta to be introduced at this year’s event, and can be described as “pasta from a mushroom specialty restaurant.

Mushroom stollen

This stollen is made with rice flour and mushroom powder on a tofu base. You will enjoy the texture and umami of coarsely crushed dried fruits. Enjoy this seasonal dessert.

About “Vegan Course”

The “Vegan Course,” which has been very popular since last year, is also continuing.

The ever-popular menu has finally been updated!The vegan dinner, titled “Smoked Mushroom and Beetroot Tartar 2.0,” will offer a more extreme version of deliciousness.

Thanks to your support, we have a growing number of repeat customers who make dinner course reservations.

In order to allow as many people as possible to enjoy their meals while taking up space in a safe and comfortable environment,
we too have restored our hours of operation and expanded them to two cool hours (18:00-20:00 / 20:00-22:00). Please observe the following precautions.

1) This course is “by appointment only”. Online reservations can be made up to 3 days in advance. For last-minute reservations, please call the store directly.

2) Only course meals will be served.

3) Two hours are required and cannot be extended or changed.
